Community. Ancient Wisdom. Nature Immersion.
In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, this guided experience offers a space to pause, breathe, and remember that we do not go to nature—we are nature. Our goal remains the same: to build a community where intuition is trusted, stillness is celebrated, and wisdom is shared.
What to Expect: Join certified Nature and Forest Therapy guide Amy Riske for a deeply grounding, in-person forest therapy walk inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). This isn't a hike, a workout, or a naturalist lecture; it is an exercise in presence.
-
The Slow Down: We will kick off the experience by intentionally leaving the rush of the daily grind behind. You’ll learn how to shift your focus away from reaching a destination and instead open your senses to the living landscape around you.
-
The Invitations: Sink into a meditative, grounded state as your guide offers gentle, open-ended "invitations." You will work in partnership with your surroundings to craft a sensory experience that is uniquely yours. The forest is the therapist; the guide opens the doors.
-
The Integration: As our time together winds down, we will take a moment to collectively gather, share our observations, and express our gratitude for the Traditional Territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council that sustain us.
What to Bring: You do not need any heavy-duty gear to participate! Nature is accessible to everyone.
-
The Attire: Please dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Because we will be moving slowly and pausing frequently, we recommend wearing extra layers!
-
The Mindset: Curiosity and your love of the Land.
